Need an energy boost?

Ready for another super simple and straightforward energy-boosting tip? ️
Drink more water. That’s right, good old H2O. It is the most vital nutrient to our entire body and so our body will not perform optimally without enough of it. Not surprisingly, one of the first symptoms of dehydration is low energy and fatigue. If you’re feeling sluggish, chances are you may not be getting enough water.
So, are you getting enough?! You should be drinking half of your bodyweight in ounces every single day. It should be even more if you’re doing strenuous exercise, are in hot weather, feeling ill, recovering or doing anything that makes you sweat.
Here are some additional tips and hacks to help you get the best energy boost from hydration:
Add some flavor to your water with fruits, veggies and herbs. Try berries, lemon, lime, cucumber, orange or grapefruit. You can even add basil, mint, rosemary, lavender, or ginger. Or mix things together like blueberry basil, strawberry lime, cucumber mint, or lemon lavender!
Start the morning with a tall glass of water. Drink it before coffee or breakfast. This helps wake the body up and get things moving.
Add ice to your water, especially for afternoon pick-me-ups. The cold water helps your body produce adrenaline, which makes you feel more alert while avoiding the side effects of excessive caffeine.
Next time you’re feeling low on energy, grab a glass of water and drink up to perk up!
How do you prefer your water? Ice cold? Flavored? Room temperature?
